If that seems like a pretty self-evident point to make, last week's stories surrounding her seem to suggest otherwise as many people on social media attempted to shame the Modern Family actress for getting super glammed up on an otherwise low-key red carpet, only to be soundly rebuffed by the star with a straightforward Instagram memo. And on Wednesday, the 19-year-old demonstrated yet again she can wear whatever she damn well pleases, which includes the same sparkly, semi-sheer dress as Jennifer Lopez. For an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Winter chose an affordable dress, that's really more of a bodysuit and sheer skirt combo, from Australian brand Mishki that retails for a reasonable $110. The form-fitting "Aviana" Jeweled Midi Dress features spaghetti straps, a deep-V neckline, all-over bedazzling that gives a glittery affect, and a completely see-through side-slit skirt. The sitcom star let her look shine by keeping the rest of her ensemble super-simple, teaming the dress with a pair of studs and silver high-heel sandals, keeping her makeup equally minimal with a smoky eye and swept-back hair. Just last Thursday, Jennifer Lopez arrived at another late night talk show, The Late Late Show with James Cordon, wearing the same iridescent Mishki dress which she also paired with straightforward diamond drop earrings and strappy silver sandals, also opting for a smoky eye, but pulling her hair back into a high ponytail.
